To: kappa@cfl.rr.com I was on the internet tonight and happened across this website with the reunion pictures on it. It brought tears to my eyes and a lot of wonderful memories. I never went to camp there but I was there a lot, see the picture you have in there of Frank and Jete is very special to me because Frank was my grandfather. I have the full picture. My sister and I always went to the camp to swim. We both took swimming lessons there. Usually while the girls were at their rest time. Papa would take us all over the camp. Jete always called me Smiley. I don't know if she ever really knew my real name. I got a letter from her a few years ago addressed to Smiley. This really did my heart good and I can't wait till I can get my mom over to my house to let her look at these pictures. I'm sure she will love it. I would love to hear from you and some of the other girls. I would love to hear stories or memories if anyone has any of my grandpa. I loved him very much and I know that he loved all the girls there. I will list my address and all at the bottom of this email. Thanks for sharing your memories.
Sincerely,

Suzy,
Feel free to post my letter. I would love to hear from others. Just
finding the site and seeing the pictures brought back wonderful memories.
The timing is just so funny. Papa died 19 years ago on the 28th of June.
How wonderful it was to find this site about the same time. My husband and
our 2 little girls are living in papa's old house. Granny is in a nursing
home and we are trying to help keep the place up. Thank you for writing
back (snip)... I'd love to keep in contact with you and the
others. May God Bless and keep you safe in your travels.

Suzy,
My sister Sharon just E-mailed me and shared with me your web site. Boy talk about a trip down memory lane. It brought back so many childhood memories. You see, Mr. Frank was my grand father also (better known to me as papa) and I miss him so! Seeing his picture with Ms.Jete brought tears to my eyes. He was a special man to me. I have so many fond memories of the camp although I never attended as a camper.
I remember sitting on my front porch watching the "big buses" bring all the girls to camp. This was a sign to me I'd soon be taking swimming lessons again. Ms. Jete invited me and provided me with the opportunity each summer during the girls "rest period" and after my sister was born she went with me. I also remember twice each summer going up and sitting under the trees with papa to watch the horse shows, and going with him on hay rides withÊthe the girls. Some of my fondest memories of my papa
involve Camp Yonahlossee. It was the love of his life each summer. His second family you might say. Thanks for the memories and tears of joy. Thanks for letting me share this thoughts with you. God Bless,
Tammy C. Glenn

Subject: Frank Bentley!
Dear Suzy,
Sharon Vandyke and Tammy Glenn emailed me your site on Camp Yonahlossee. I have enjoyed all the pictures and like Sharon and Tammy, it has brought back many memories, for Frank Bentley was my grandfather as well. I have never met anyone who loved their work more than my grandfather. He always talked about the camp and would take us up there to watch the horse shows and other events that would take place. Thanks for helping to carry on his memory. He was a wonderful man!
Sincerely,
Greg Bentley
